I can confidently say without hesitation that being a part of the Fityah program has been a life-changing experience for me and instilled within me a sense of Iman I never thought I could reach before . Having attended an Islamic school, I thought that I had a firm grasp on most of the fundamentals of our religion, such as the Fiqh of Salah, understanding the basic meaning of the Quran, and possessing a strong moral character when interacting with others.

However, after joining the Fityah program, led by Ustadh Baajour, Ustadh Michael, and Ustadh Belal, they gave me a rejuvenated understanding of each of these aspects by teaching us the reasonings behind certain aspects of our Deen and providing us a solid foundation in the Arabic language to allow us to not only learn but apply the teachings of the holy Quran and Sunnah in our daily lives .

I believe this program is a perfect opportunity for students of all ages and backgrounds, and I highly recommend it to anyone who can attend!

The Fityah program was a real gem. The teachers were amazing subhanallah and I’m glad I attended even with the long commute. One of the most beneficial aspects was the arabic we learned, the Quranic approach we took really helped us soak it in rather than an academic or grammatical approach. There’s so few Islamic programs like Fityah for school kids like us that are serious but also light enough with school and everything, Fityah is really a very special program.

Alhamdulillah, I had the opportunity to attend the first batch of the Fityah program under the guidance of amazing teachers. I had already memorized the Quran before joining Fityah, but Fityah helped me learn the meaning and vocabulary of the Quran, so that when I review my hifdh, I am able to understand what Allah (swt) is telling me. When I pray Salah, I am able to understand what I am saying. In Fityah, I also learned the lessons of the stories of the Quran, as well as Akhlaaq, which I try my best to apply in my daily life. Fityah was a transformative experience that I would highly recommend everyone attend.

The Fityah Program was a life-changing experience. I’ve been blessed to participate in many different Islamic Studies programs, and Fityah is unique in its critical, yet nurturing, approach to Islamic literacy. By breaking down the roots of Quranic vocabulary and stories paired with teaching Islamic ethics, the program provides a deeper understanding of the Arabic language. It allowed me to deepen my bond with the Quran and Islam as a whole.

Asalamvaelaikum. My name is Rabiya Sayeed and I have benefited immensely from EPIC’s fityah program. I have increased my knowledge about the meaning of the Quran, the stories of the Quran, and ethics and manners in Islam. The information I have learned in the class was taught well and helped me improve my understanding of Islam and the Quran. Inshallah more of the community can benefit from this program in the future.
